Our Model
Evidence-based. Engaging. Effective.
Reading
Early instruction in foundational reading skills is critical to student success. These skills include phonological and phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Mathematics
Pre-K and kindergarten students practice number identification and counting, and they learn one-to-one correspondence, comparison, geometry, and early computation skills in addition and subtraction. Elementary students gain skills geared toward mastering mathematics standards for their grades.
Critical Thinking
Summa students develop critical thinking skills by regularly completing puzzles, brain teasers, and reasoning and classification activities.
Consistency
Consistency is crucial for building and sustaining learning experiences. Summa learning sessions are scheduled Monday through Thursday in 45-minute sessions.
